PREVCO ‘’Keeping on top of the pressure!’’

October 15, 2020 By MOTN

Our industry is certainly going through more challenging times as we adapt to new ways of doing business during the pandemic. More people are working from home and businesses have had to reimagine their work and the role of the office in creating safe, productive and enjoyable lives for their employees. With our relatively small team and relatively large premises, we’ve been able to adopt safe ‘’socially distant’’ ways of working without too much disruption to our normal working procedures. High-Flow Pressure Relief Valve One of our latest products is the Prevco High-Flow Pressure Relief Valve which has been developed in response to customer demand. The valve is based on the engineering principles of our current range of PRV’s with the exception that the flow rate is very much higher, reaching a flow rate of 7SCFM@36psi (11,89 m3/h @2.48 bar) which can be customised to a higher or lower flow rate according to the customers’ needs. The valves can be made from Stainless Steel, Titanium or Inconel 625 and can operate at depth ranges of up to 6000m or more in temperatures ranging from 26C to 130C (-15F to 266F) Several hundred of these valves are now in use as anulus vent valves for flexible risers in the oil and gas industry, but there are doubtless many other applications where pressure vessels may need to be brought to the surface quickly while off-gassing any potentially dangerous internal pressure. Due to the customizable nature of the valves, they are not sold as standard stock products but we are happy to engage with anyone to explore options and customize the valves to their own needs. Across the Subsea industry Here at Prevco, we have been fortunate that our products are used across the whole of the subsea industry and are not dependant on any particular field i.e. oil and gas or oceanographic. In fact, we have been kept more than busy servicing customer’s needs, especially in the Defence Industry, which has resulted in hundreds of thousands, even millions of dollars of new business this year. In addition to that, we have been fully supported by our vendors who have managed to keep us supplied with their services without delay and our lead times have remained for the most part, unaltered. About Prevco Subsea LLC We are a subsea engineering company, specializing in subsea pressure vessels and related accessories. We design, manufacture and test a range of custom and off-the-shelf housings made from different materials and for different depth and duration capabilities. The company has been specializing in this field for the last 20yrs and is solely focused on producing the most robust, reliable and cost-effective solutions for our customers. Our products have been in use worldwide for many years and we’re always happy to discuss new and individual requirements, whether as a one-off or prototype or a large quantity for production. Let us know how we can help! Contact Email: noleaks@prevco.com Phone: 480-837-0100 (US office) +44 (0) 1892-731528 (UK office) Website www.prevco.com
