Endicott College Makes Strides in New Technology With MOTN Team Boat

As previously reported, MOTN has teamed with Endicott College and the City of Gloucester to enter a “Miniboat” in the Educational Passages Atlantic Regatta, a coordinated effort between with numerous marine organizations and educational institutions around the Atlantic seaboard. See, Atlantic Regatta. Our boat was finished, painted and is being outfitted with instrumentation in the “Makerspace” at Endicott’s Angle Center for Entrepreneurship. Angle’s staff and students have been working vigorously on GPS, sensors and other innovative technology for the boat, named the Ginger Judge after one of Endicott’s original benfactors. This advanced technological work has grabbed the attention of some manufacturers, who are now working directly with the Angle folks as the boat’s outfitting nears completion.  Watch this space for news of the launching!
