FarSounder has partnered with the University of Rhode Island ELECOMP Capstone Program. In the program, two students were matched with a local business’ to work on designing, building, programming, and testing solutions to real-world problems. The two senior-level engineering students working with FarSounder this past school year were Thomas Lott and Cole Boulanger.
These students were given the benefit of hands-on experience as they worked to apply theory from their studies and put it into practice. “I was drawn to work on this project because I was able to work with globally recognized experts in technology, says Cole Boulanger, URI student. This program has provided me with valuable experience earned through solving challenges outside of the classroom.”
FarSounder is always looking towards the future and by participating in this Capstone program, our team gains a fresh new look at their technology. At the same time, the students gain knowledge of how professionals work in the field of engineering and in their specific focus of study.
