Mabbett Awarded Commonwealth of Massachusetts Chelsea Creek Waterway Risk Assessment Study Contract

MabbettSTONEHAM, MA  – Mabbett & Associates, Inc. (Mabbett®) is pleased to announce that the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Executive Office of Public Safety & Security (EOPSS) has awarded Mabbett a $96,000 contract for the Chelsea Creek Waterway Risk Assessment Study.

Mabbett, a Massachusetts Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Enterprise (SDVOBE), along with subcontractors ESS Group, Inc. (ESS), Childs Engineering (Childs) and David Miller & Associates (David Miller), will assist and support the Commonwealth in investigating and analysing the feasibility of various alternatives proposed to improve navigational safety and congestion in the waterway adjacent to the Chelsea Street Bridge. This feasibility study will evaluate the proposed alternatives in terms of estimated cost, complexity, potential maritime safety and economic benefit, and technical feasibility. Our team, including Mabbett’s Marine Technology & Maritime Services Group which is led by Harlan M. Doliner, Esq., has provided waterfront engineering, environmental permitting, and regulatory strategy services to tug/tow boat operators, marina owners, industrial facilities, the City of Boston, and commercial waterfront landowners throughout the Port of Boston, including Chelsea Creek, an area of crucial economic importance.
