Accelerating the Southeastern Massachusetts Marine Science and Technology Corridor: An Industry, Academia, and Government Collaboration

Please join us for our second symposium: Accelerating the Marine Science and Technology Corridor: An Industry, Academia, and Government Collaboration. This follows our highly successful 2018 symposium: Catching the Next Wave: Building the Blue Economy through Innovation and Collaboration.

The symposium will feature the UMass Dartmouth Public Policy Center’s final report on the region’s marine science and technology industry cluster. Using the findings of this study, UMass Dartmouth and the SouthCoast Development Partnership will convene an industry alliance to position the region as an international blue-tech cluster driven by collaboration, innovation, and education. The Marine Science and Technology Corridor initiative is funded by a U.S. Economic Development Administration Economic Adjustment Assistance Program grant.

We will be joined by Congressman Bill Keating and Congressman Joe Kennedy for this discussion. We will also be hosting blue economy sessions with Vineyard Wind and other national and international leaders in the blue-tech industry.

The SouthCoast Development Partnership and UMass Dartmouth are excited to announce the agenda for the Accelerating the Southeastern Massachusetts Marine Science and Technology Corridor symposium on November 1.

The event will feature the UMass Dartmouth Public Policy Center’s final report on the region’s marine science and technology industry clusters. This report will inform UMass Dartmouth and the SouthCoast Development Partnership’s next steps in positioning the region as an innovative, international leader in the maritime industries. The Marine Science and Technology Corridor initiative is funded by a U.S. Economic Development Administration Economic Adjustment Assistance Program grant.
