MOTN was given the opportunity to brief the Marine Technology Team of the U.S. Department of Commerce in Boston on the state of the marine technology industry in New England.
The presentation began with a general description of MOTN and its important role as a marine technology association. Next, a diverse group of member companies were highlighted to explain how broad of a gambit MOTN member companies cover.
Harlan Doliner, MOTN President, next highlighted the importance of the marine technology sector in New England and it effect on the economy. The presentation also included future implications for our industry as well as potential opportunities with foreign actors.
Lastly, Jeff Komrower from Noise Control Engineering, a MOTN member company presented specifically on Noise Control and their services as well as answered questions regarding business with foreign actors.
Presenters Jeff Komrower, Harlan Doliner, and Morgan McCarthy (MOTN Program Chair) entertained a host of questions regarding MOTN, the industry in general, as well as questions regarding future foreign business opportunities. Overall, the presentation and corresponding questions and discussion amongst the presenters and Marine Technology Team were very encouraging to our industry and provided valuable insight for future business opportunities.
