SEA TECHNOLOGY Fall Ads and 2003 Advertising:
MOTN has had three successful insertions of the MOTN ad spread, in the June, July and September issues of Sea Technology. We are now soliciting for the November and December issues, and planning for next year. Nine companies have taken advantage of the savings so far.

Here's the ST deal...
Discounts over standard rates for 1 month insertions are 46% ($870 vs. $1625) for a ¼ page; 35% ($1160 vs. $1795) for a 1/3 page; and 25% ($1740 vs. $2305) for a ½ page. All ads are full color. MOTN will pay Sea Technology for 2 pages of four-color ads and guarantees filling the pages. Advertisers pay MOTN directly and then submit their ads to Sea Technology. This offer from MOTN can be in addition to or replace existing advertising in ST.

Here's how you do it...
We need to get started right away, in order to make November deadlines. Complete download and fill out the insertion order and submit it to MOTN by 8 October, along with full payment in advance for the first insertion. Then submit your artwork directly to ST by 15 October. We will send you the ST requirements, and ST insertion order, if you do not already have them.

HYDRO INTERNATIONAL 2002 Source book-discounted advertising
MOTN has been offered an opportunity to place ads in the Hydro International 2002 Source Book at a greatly reduced rate. The Hydro editorial emphasis is targeted at the hydrographic survey, navigation and data processing markets, with some coverage of oceanographic instrumentation and ROVs.

Here's the Hydro deal...
The Hydro media guide lists the standard price for a 1X full-page four-color ad at $3885, a 1X 1/2-page ad at $2730, and a 1X ¼ page ad at $1880. MOTN is able to offer 1X prices of $2400 for a full page, $1200 for a ½ page, or $600 for a ¼ page. They have also offered the same rates for the monthly magazine, if this initial promotion works out. Advertisers pay MOTN directly. MOTN guarantees to fill a page with ads and then pays Hydro. If you already have a contract with Hydro, let us know and we can assist in negotiating.

Here's how you do it...
We need to get started right away, in order to make the Source Book deadline. Download and complete the attached insertion order and submit it to MOTN by 13 September, along with full payment in advance. Then submit your artwork directly to Hydro by 20 September. We will send you the Hydro requirements, if you do not already have them.
